To assess the use of spoken English by test takers, the IELTS Speaking test is conducted. IELTS Speaking test is the same for both Academic as well as General candidates. This test comprises of three parts (or rounds) and total test time is around 11 to 14 minutes. The section below describes the details about the IELTS Speaking test.
The speaking test is conducted face to face, like an oral interview with an IELTS examiner in a room. The environment is very calm and comfortable, so you do not need to get panic. Every speaking test is recorded. First of all, the examiner checks your ID, which is your passport. Then the speaking test starts. Let’s understand the three rounds of the IELTS Speaking test:

It is to note that in round 2, the examiner provides you a pen/pencil and a paper to prepare your answer.
